Otherdeed Expanded

Otherdeed Expanded is a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) developed by Yuga Labs, serving as virtual land parcels within the Otherside metaverse.

Each NFT in this collection offers a unique combination of environment and sediment types, with some containing resources or powerful artifacts. These evolved Otherdeeds enable holders to participate in future gaming experiences within the Yuga Labs universe. ​

Otherdeed Expanded was introduced through the Koda Decoupling and Vessel Claim event. During this event, holders of the original Otherdeed NFTs had the option to burn their tokens to mint new NFTs: an Otherdeed Expanded and, if applicable, separate NFTs for Kodas and Vessels. This process allowed for enhanced participation in games like "Legends of the Mara, a 2D web-based strategy game where these assets play integral roles. ​

Ownership of an Otherdeed Expanded NFT grants holders a personal use license, permitting activities such as trading, selling, and personal display. However, commercialization of the NFT's artwork, such as creating merchandise or developing derivative works, is not allowed. In contrast, decoupled Koda NFTs come with a broader commercial license, allowing for both personal and commercial use. ​

As of April 2025, the Otherdeed Expanded collection comprises over 55,000 items. The collection has attracted a diverse ownership base, reflecting its significance within the NFT and gaming communities.
