"Humans are my greatest failure" explained Xonos, "They are incapable of permanent happiness, and their love is conditional..."
"And dogs?"
"Ah, dogs are my masterpiece," he replied wistfully. "They know true happiness, and love unconditionally."
Xonos smiled as Time Dog humped his leg.
