Talisa is currently self-employed after establishing her LLC in March 2021 under the name Almonte Studio, in honor of her father who had a creative business of his own, 'Almonte Estudio' in Dominican Republic. Since her father was the person that introduced her to the world of art and design at a young age and because he passed away in February 2021, she felt this was the best way to honor him and continue his legacy. Her eclectic background has given her the ability to adapt and meet client expectations while staying true to her artistic style. Although her work is generally inspired by color usage, nature, TV/film, pop culture and BIPOC representation, she’s inspired by the idea that art can be empowering and inspiring to others and believes in the importance of individuality, diversity, and creating messages of positivity.
