This piece is about showing art, and being scrutinized. That was the initial concept.
The role of the artist is to make, keep and transform meaning, essentially. There's obviously more to it, but in the midst of creating and showing art, it will be judged by society, peers and any viewer.
This is not a complaint though! Art should be judged.
I created this stage of crypto peeps and the figure in front (the artist) says "hey, look, I made this" and the audience either screams "boo" or "woo" and the artist exits. The whole process moves as quick as the algorithm allows it. You ever make it or you don't. Then it's on to the next one. Until you have a new piece and you go again.
It's a risky game! Sometimes it's frustrating, especially when you are convinced it's a masterpiece and no one agrees and it just gets lost and unseen.
But as we all know, time is the final judge. An artist can make thousands of artworks and some of them will only be appreciated in a generation or two.
