Swimming out into a hurricane off the shores of New York with my camera in hand, I saw some of the best surf of my life. Mother Nature rolled onto her most beautiful side, and smiled toward me. I was in awe of such beauty, and grateful to capture a tranquil moment during a chaotic swell.
A friend would later tell me that every time he looked back, I was getting pounded by wave after wave. And every time my head popped up after being held underwater, I had a huge smile on my face.
Sometimes we’re so focused that we don’t realize we’re living the happiest moment of our life.
