"They had known of each other for a while; the two of them only really ever exchanged passing glances on their way through the town. It wasn’t very common for them to go on missions together, and whenever they made a target of another helpless man, history has shown they go after different types.
Athena really can only quench her animalistic hunger, the echoing grumble from her chest, with the submissive and shy. Something about how they struggled to scream, their halting cries for help made devouring them much more satisfying.
Elaine, however, had different things in mind when looking for her prey.
It was almost a polar opposite to Athena. Elaine herself lured in the powerful, the egotistic, the violent. She favored the long game, she wanted her victim to feel like they were safe– no, that they were in control. It was almost like playing with her food, they never expect a thing. As a matter of fact, her victims always thought they would be the one taking advantage of her.
Naturally, Elaine would play along like a puppy-eyed airhead. Something about the pigtails really sealed the deal. Of course, until her tentacles came out.
It was this way that things ended up oddly… balanced. When you’re a demon, there’s not much time for fun, so you might as well have a little play when you work, right?
The day had come that Athena and Elaine were actually ordered to go after the very same targets – a wealthy couple who had a history of taking advantage of others, of violence towards young girls, among other things.
The girls really had no idea how the opposite of them worked, they barely knew each other. Not to mention being so burned out after countless missions, dealing with awful, fighty prey. They were tired and irritated.
Athena lied on the ground, staring at the ceiling, connecting the speckles of glitter and dust to another out of boredom. She heaved a sigh, and closed her eyes.
Elaine sat a few feet away, her hands between her thighs, looking at the ground. It was a while until their mission had to begin, and they were waiting for their victims to show up at the hotel opposite them- it helps to figure out their next moves before going in for the real deal.
“This job really gets fucking boring when it’s slow like this,” Athena says, breaking the silence. “You would think we would have time to ourselves to enjoy instead of having to do all this dumb prep work. You know?” She sits up and looks at Elaine, despite her still looking at the ground unresponsively.
Elaine musters up a shrug, and lightly sighs. “I don’t even know what I would do with time to myself honestly. It’s not like this is the business of making friends.” She says, slowly turning her head before looking at Athena. “Do you have friends?” Athena chuckles to herself. “Well I don’t know if I’d call them just friends..” Athena says. Elaine opens her eyes widely and almost shocked, says “You’re kidding. You actually have had time to play for fun?”
Athena cocks her head. “And you haven’t?” She laughs again. “I can’t say it doesn’t make sense.” She scans Elaine, following the curves of her jaw, down her neck, her hips.. “Look at you, shy as a baby bird.”
“You know, I probably have a bigger kill list than you.” Elaine says, inching slightly towards her. “You have no idea what I’m capable of.” Athena doubles down, and crawls a few feet closer. Staring at her in her eyes, she slithers out her tongue from her mouth. “And what is it, really, that you’re so capable of? We might as well show each other what we got before we go after this dumb couple.” The lights in Athena’s eyes flicker, and she licks her lips. Unknowingly to either of them, they were both playing into the exact type of fun they seek out when they have to finish the job.
Elaine slowly takes her hands from between her thighs, and crawls in an almost frustratingly slow pace. Her tentacles come from behind her, Athena only noticing when the lights above suddenly aren’t showing the light they once were. The tentacles create a tall tower of shadow around Athena, and Elaine looks her up and down, only meeting Athena’s eyes when she opens her mouth. “Is that what you want to see? What I’m capable of?” She pouts her mouth as her arms close in outside of Athena’s thighs.
Athena takes the clasp of her chained collar, and hooks it onto Elaine’s. “It’s just so we can really get to know our.. Working methods..” Athena smirks, slithering another tongue from her chest. The spit glistens and drips on the floor. “You know, Demons aren’t supposed to fool around together like this.. We could get in trouble.” Elaine says, worry showing in her eyes, biting her lip.
“You know, I don’t think Demons are quite in the business of being perfect rule followers, either..” Athena says. Her large tongue leaves a sloppy gloss as she licks and sloppily coats Athena’s skin, slowly tracing her body. “Don’t you want to have a little fun while I teach you a lesson?”
As Elaine inches closer, she smiles. Reaching with a long, slimy tentacle, the bedroom door slams shut."
