Deep Breathing Guide

Follow a 4-4-4-4 Breathing Exercise

Box breathing is a deep breathing relaxation exercise that guides you through a steady 4-4-4-4 loop: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, then hold again for 4 seconds. There is no score, fail state, or pressure to finish.

Start a Session

Choose a duration preset, then start the breathing exercise when you are ready.

Follow the Timer

Follow the moving marker and expanding breath circle through each 4-second phase.

Pause

Pause stops the timer, active play-time tracking, and background music.

Music

Handpan background music starts with the session and can be turned off or adjusted.

Presets

Pick 1, 3, 5, or 10 minutes for a finite guided session, or use Endless mode when you want the 16-second breathing loop to keep going.

Rankings

Signed-in players rank by total active breathing time. Box Breathing does not record wins, losses, scores, or best times.

Relaxation Breaks

Use a short preset when you want a quiet deep breathing exercise for relaxation.

Stress or Nerves
