Step 1: Collection details

  1. 1

    Add a banner and logo

    Choose your blockchain

Select which blockchain to deploy your collection on. Each has different gas fees and ecosystems. Check our Supported Networks guide for details on each option.
Blockchain selection dropdown showing available networks
Select a blockchain network (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, etc.).
  5. 5

    Set your collection symbol

Enter a short symbol (like a stock ticker) for your collection. This is typically 3-5 uppercase letters that abbreviate your collection name (e.g., "BAYC" for Bored Ape Yacht Club).
    Collection symbol input field
Create a short, memorable symbol for your collection.

Pro tip: Use AI assistance

Click "Generate All with AI" to automatically create a collection name, description, and symbol based on your uploaded artwork. You can always edit the suggestions.

Step 2: Tell your story

  1. 1

    Write your collection story

Use the rich text editor to craft a detailed narrative about your collection. You can add headings, bold text, lists, and links. This appears on your collection's About tab and helps build connection with collectors.

Use the rich text editor to format your collection story with headings, lists, and links.

Step 3: Build community

  1. 1

    Add social links

Connect your community by adding links to Discord, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, or your website. This helps collectors verify authenticity and join your community.
Social links input section showing various platform options
Add your social media links to help collectors connect with your community.
  2. 2

    Add contributors (optional)

If you collaborated with other artists or team members, add their wallet addresses as contributors. They'll be credited on your collection page.

Credit collaborators by adding their wallet addresses.

Step 4: Configure supply

  1. 1

    Choose your token standard

ERC-721: Each NFT is unique and one-of-a-kind. Best for unique artwork, 1/1 pieces, or collections where each item is distinct.

ERC-1155: Allows multiple copies of each NFT. Perfect for editions, gaming items, or when you want to sell multiple copies of the same artwork.
Token standard selection showing ERC-721 and ERC-1155 options
Choose ERC-721 for unique NFTs or ERC-1155 for editions/multiple copies.
  2. 2

    Set your supply

Define the total number of NFTs in your collection. You can create a limited supply (e.g., 10,000 items) or an open edition with unlimited supply. Limited supplies often create more collectibility.
    Supply configuration interface
Set a fixed supply or choose open edition for unlimited mints.

Choose carefully

Your token standard (ERC-721 vs ERC-1155) cannot be changed after deployment. Think about your collection's needs before deciding.

Step 5: Set pricing & royalties

  1. 1

    Set your mint price

Enter the price collectors will pay to mint each NFT. Consider your target audience, production costs, and comparable collections. You can also set it to free for promotional drops.
Mint price input field with cryptocurrency amount
Set your mint price in the native currency of your chosen blockchain.
  2. 2

    Configure royalties

Set a creator royalty percentage (typically 2.5-10%) that you'll earn on secondary sales. You can split royalties between multiple wallet addresses if collaborating with others. Learn more about fees and royalties.
Royalty configuration interface with percentage slider and recipient addresses
Configure your royalty percentage and add multiple recipients if needed.

Step 6: Upload your NFTs

  1. 1

    Upload your artwork

Drag and drop your files or click to browse. Supported formats include PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG, MP4, and WEBM. You can upload multiple files at once - they'll be uploaded to IPFS for permanent, decentralized storage.
File upload dropzone showing drag and drop interface
Drag and drop multiple files or click to upload your NFT artwork.
  2. 2

    Add metadata to each NFT

Click on any uploaded NFT to edit its details. Add a unique name, description, and traits (properties). Traits like "Background: Blue" or "Rarity: Legendary" help collectors filter and discover your NFTs.
NFT editing modal showing name, description, and traits fields
Click an NFT to edit its name, description, and traits.
  3. 3

Use AI to generate traits (optional)

Click the AI button to automatically suggest traits based on your artwork. This saves time and ensures consistent metadata across your collection.
AI trait suggestion interface showing auto-detected properties
Use AI to automatically detect and suggest traits for your NFTs.
  4. 4

    Bulk import with CSV (optional)

For large collections, import metadata via CSV. Download the template, fill in your data, and upload. This is especially useful for generative collections with hundreds or thousands of items.
CSV import interface with template download option
Download the CSV template and import metadata for large collections.

Step 7: Preview & launch

  1. 1

    Preview your collection

Review how your collection will appear to collectors. Check your banner, logo, description, NFT grid, pricing, and all details. Make sure everything looks correct before launching.
Collection preview page showing banner, logo, and NFT grid
Preview exactly how your collection will appear once launched.
  2. 2

    Launch your collection

When you're ready, click the Launch button. You'll be prompted to sign a transaction with your wallet. This deploys your smart contract and makes your collection live on the blockchain.
Launch button with wallet signature prompt
Click Launch and sign the transaction to deploy your collection on-chain.
  3. 3

    Share with the world

Once launched, share your collection link on social media. Direct collectors to your Rodeyo collection page where they can mint your NFTs. Congratulations, you're now an NFT creator!

Your collection is now live on the blockchain. Share your collection page link on social media and start building your collector community.

Tips for success

  • Use high-quality images (at least 1000×1000px) for the best display across devices.
  • Write detailed descriptions - collectors appreciate knowing the story and utility behind NFTs.
  • Add relevant traits to improve discoverability and let collectors filter your collection.
  • Test on a testnet first if you're unsure about your setup (costs no real money).
  • Promote your collection before launch to build anticipation with your community.
  • Set reasonable royalties (5-10%) - too high may discourage secondary sales.
  • Keep your original artwork files backed up separately from IPFS.

Advanced tips

  • Use ERC-1155 for gaming items or edition drops where multiple collectors can own the same item.
  • For large generative collections, prepare your metadata in a CSV for faster bulk import.
  • Consider lazy minting for collections where you want buyers to pay gas fees instead of you.
  • Split royalties with collaborators directly in the contract - it's automatic and trustless.
