On July 28th, Sinaloa witnessed a massive 135-mile-wide MCS stretching from Culiacán to Ahome, crowned by an epic shelf cloud. My car wasn’t road-ready—no headlights—but this was too spectacular to miss.
With my son as co-pilot, we raced against sunset, navigating alternate roads. We found a cornfield, parked, and captured the storm’s grandeur.
Zoom in on the big panorama, and you’ll spot our car—a small figure against nature’s scale.
