On a black night in a dreary Tokyo back alley, after a long night of clubbing at the discotech, Mugen and his fiancee were accosted by villainous bandits. Outnumbered 15 to 1, they were still no match for his skilled blade. Unfortunately, the heavy drinking and hours of sweaty dancing slowed his hand just enough for one of the fiends to catch his beloved with a pocket blade. As she fell in the alley, Mugen rushed to her side, allowing the last coward to slink away into the night. Leaving a trail of bloodied corpses in his wake, Mugen rooted out the location of the gang's headquarters. All he found were signs of a hasty retreat and a single clue. Learning who they had crossed, the scum fled to the mainland. Hoping to escape Mugen's wrath, they took refuge in the vast emptiness of the Gobi desert. Now, Mugen spends his days and nights combing the dunes; questing for revenge against those who have wronged him.
