Chapter 1: Ketchup Boy Arcade As you approach the red door of your local arcade, you can feel your heart racing with excitement. You've been waiting for this moment for months, and you know that your step-father and mother have set up something special for you inside with the owner Zooko. You take a deep breath and try to turn the handle, but it's locked! You'll have to wait for the arcade owner to wake up before you can use a token to get in. You can't wait to hear the sound of those clacking buttons and the hum of electronics filling the air, but you decide to head back home while you wait. As you enter the kitchen, you see your step-father standing there preparing eggs for breakfast. He smiles at you and says, 'How'r ya goin'? Didja get too excited n' sleepwalk to tha arcade? Zooko will be there in about a hawr, and yer lazy mums still waking up. Come sit down n' have some eggs." Chapter 2: Choose a Path You open the red door and step into the arcade with low lighting except for the blaring screens. You rub your eyes to adjust, then see 3 machines with your name on them that are blue, green and red. Then you notice Zooko the arcade owner and wave hello. There are some snacks and drinks for sale by a break table, posters on the wall about past and future events, and a game quarter <> crypto exchange machine. You notice some new rare trading cards and consoles inside the glass case for sale, and a number of other odds n' ends. A retro Space Invaders machine is in the other corner which is always there. Since it's so close to home, you've dropped in here to play this with your friends a bunch of times, so your parents setting up games just for you has been really exciting. Zooko: "Hey again, Rye-O! Today is another big day! You ready to choose a path? The first machine takes 1 game quarter, the second takes 2, and the 3rd takes 3. Do you have enough or do you want to buy more?" You: "My mother gave me 0.15 ETH to play all of them..." Zooko: "Well that's good! I lost some loose change once. And haven't seen them cents!" You: "Haha, what? You and my step-father should have a 'dad-jokes' competition and I'll be the judge." Zooko: "Okay Rye-O, well here's the machine, so stock up: https://app.manifold.xyz/c/game-quarters. We are open until 5 o' clock. And remember - time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana."

Now.. Zooko had said that the first arcade machine takes 1 quarter, the second takes 2, and the third one takes 3. It seemed simple enough to exchange the crypto and get started, but Zooko interrupted you again. Zooko: "Did you know that in the original Pac-Man game, the ghosts were actually supposed to be monsters? But the designer decided to change them to ghosts to save memory on the arcade board. I guess arms couldn't be a thing yet. And did you know that the highest score ever recorded on a Space Invaders machine is over 16 million points? It was set by a guy named Billy Mitchell in 1982. I'll just be over there trying to break the record while you're playing, unless more customers arrive," He pointed over to the Space Invaders machine, "or if... the arcade machines themselves or that quarters machine gets jammed again, I've got my tools." You: "Jammed? Okay, well I'm trying it now. Thanks, Zooko!" He interrupted again. Zooko: "Hey. What month is good for toast?" You: "Huh?" Zooko: "Jam-uary!!! That's all I had to say. Have fun, Rye-O!"

You insert one game quarter and the game starts. You find yourself in a mostly blue metaverse, and as you look around, you realize it's your own house. You notice picture frames on the wall, one with a beautiful landscape and another with a cup of Rye's Root Beer. There's a candlestick with a worn down candle, books stacked on shelves, a microwave on drawers, lamp, spare keyboard, and various knick-knacks scattered around from your travels. You see a door leading to a darker room with a sink. This makes you remember your childhood fear of your own reflection in dark windowpanes at night, but now you're older and you're curious about what might be hidden behind that door. But hey, it's just a game, so why not take a chance? Soon, you will be able to choose your next steps, will you explore the darker room or investigate the objects around you?
