A perfect day, weather in the mid 70s, idyllic Americana. A child daydreams, perhaps forlorn. In a few moments a retired Soviet MiG-23 jet crashes at this, the Thunder Over Michigan 2023 air show. Later it was determined that the pilots ejected over a lake, and the unmanned plane sailed into an apartment complex, slid 500 feet and exploded in the parking lot. Incredibly there were no fatalities. Medium format 120 film developed in the home. A Jim Roll photograph.
