ONIA #66
Your new life is going to cost you your old one -- people say that, but it is so incredibly true. There is nothing like thinking you're going to keep the people that you had before, going through some healing, and then coming out the other side without any of them by your side. It sucks, and people often call that time of your life the "villain era". But if drawing boundaries loses you friends; if saying "no" turns into a seemingly cataclysmic experience instead of a minor inconvenience, you haven't lost anything. You gained a world of perspective.
