This project is a collection of 365 photos of Gesso, a Goldendoodle whose only goal is to make you smile. With a calm steady stare and a flair for the spotlight, Gesso does more than pose. He’s a furry four-legged method actor who doesn’t just wear a costume, he becomes the character. From Batman to Wonder Woman, from Hugh Hefner to the Easter Bunny, from Tom Petty to Santa Claus, we hope you enjoy the many different faces of Gesso.
All photos were taken in 2017 and reference specific cultural and historical days as they unfolded. Sadly, in 2022 Gesso was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma—an aggressive and largely untreatable cancer that kills more than 10,000 dogs per year in the US. This NFT project was set up to help fund research and treatment options for other canines with Osteosarcoma.
Each image is 3,000 x 4,000 pixels large, so will fit a large size space.
15 images will be minted and released every two weeks, until all 365 (a full year) have been released.
