“Hello, old friend,” said Arjun, extending his hand. Ravi gently sniffed the traveler’s hand with his trunk and then bowed his head, as if in greeting. Encouraged by this friendly gesture, Arjun sat down next to him. He took a piece of bread from his bag and offered it to Ravi. The old elephant took the bread slowly and began to chew gratefully.
