Canyons is a generative artwork, which is the contemporary portrayal created using p5.js, drawing inspiration from the colors found in nature's canyons and terrestrial landscapes.
The works are the interpretation of the geographical wonders on the digital canvas where lines of various colors twist and intersect, influenced by sine, tangent, and randomness mimicking the layers and patterns of real Canyons. The inherent features in the work in terms of lines, patterns, and colors are interesting to watch and a great deal of fun to work on.
The serenity of the canyons are beautifully illustrated while keeping amends to the indigenous piece of nature, the actual art. The curves curates an unfolding of art over years. The works are set against shifting background colours subtly from serene cream to mysterious midnight. I have added 30 lines of features to the work and named after world’s biggest canyons and terrestrial landscapes, including my own native place, Kerala.
