On April 8th, 2024 the skies darkened as the moon and sun seemed to collide.
This image was created using two different telescopes and multiple exposures to capture the golden sunlight, the lunar surface, the sun's corona and solar prominences.
I wanted to capture the beauty of the rare event as well as the fiery and destructive nature of our mother star. The colors were inspired by the movie Dune and the sands of Arrakis.
