When I went into the studio, Rollo said the first line of the chorus that he had in his head. It resonated with me right away. I was in love but I wasn’t sure if it was reciprocated and I felt like that was putting me in really dangerous territory. It seemed easy to write the song after that. I just leaned into the feeling of putting your life, your heart, in someone else’s hands. I think you can hear the urgency to know what my fate was in the song.
