I met Mel through a mutual friend during a lunch gathering and as we were parting I asked Mel if we could arrange a photoshoot. We made a plan to drive to Joshua Tree the following day, I think we were both craving an adventure. If you really want to get to know a person, spend 7 hours in a car with them. We had quite a bit in common and felt like we had been friends for some time. I'll never forget the time we spent together. Mel's since moved to Nashville, but we still stay in touch. We will forever be friends.
