Amidst the cacophony filling most of the world, an oasis of stillness lies hidden deep within a bamboo forest.
There is nothing here, but as with everywhere else, it remains connected to the here and now. This is where the bonds of nature manifest their immediacy and presence through the soft winds rustling the bamboo leaves; the deep roots that bind this habitat as one ecosystem; and the continuous recycling of matter across space and time.
It is here in this place—of distance and connection, of emptiness and presence, and of existence and transcendence—that Zazen the Mindful came to be.
Just sitting, just breathing, and just being all through time.
