Gaia found Tesu bleeding out protecting several animals from poachers. Gaia decided to ascend Tesu and named her 'Protector of Earth'. Since then, Tesu has wandered the earth protecting nature and wildlife across the planet.
Worshipers of Tesu often have strong bonds with nature and wildlife, and seek her help to protect it. Her worshipers are typically selfless and in pursuit of purity by sacrificing themselves protecting others.
Wherever you hear rumors, stories or long-forgotten tales of a woman wandering around a forest or jungle with a tiger by her side, it is a reference to Tesu. She is often found in areas where nature needs the most support, bringing light and renewed life.
Her loyal companion and protector, a Bengal Tiger named Tora, is always found by her side. Tora was the first animal she rescued after being ascended and in return Tora pledged a life debt to Tesu. With that, Tora pledged its life to her, to provide her with council, protect her and be her loyal companion until the end of time.
The name comes from my daughters name (Tess) that I translated to Japanese (Tesu).
