I came across a study that found the human brain sees male bodies as a whole while seeing female bodies as parts, and I realized that I do this to myself in the mirror. My “body language” series exaggerates this phenomenon by imprisoning the subjects in words used to define them, while still showing enough of their entire body to prompt the viewer to see them as a whole person.
