Lausamjöll - loose snow The most beautiful day I’ve ever experienced on the ice while guiding. It was so cold, almost - 10°C and it was snowing just a little bit. The snow was glistening in the sun like glitter. Taken by the icefall on Falljökull.

Mjöll/Mjallhvít - fresh snow or Snow White For only a few weeks during wintertime in Iceland it can be so cold that the lagoon around a few glaciers freezes. Which means it can be safe enough to walk on them. My friend was such a daredevil to put on a dress and be our model.
