Even amidst severe drought, the gardens in Berkeley, California burst with a huge array of plants and flowers all year long. These gardens are as eccentric as their owners and the variety that the subtropical climate provides is infinite. During the pandemic, many of us spent so much time in our gardens, we practically became a part of them. We transformed into garden monsters, warriors, aliens and aquatic muses among others. This series is a tribute to these outdoor spaces.
