“Oath to the Color Gods” is a visual parable about the destruction of individuality and the rebirth possible only through art. It is a collaboration that involved physical destruction of a fine art painting and reconceiving the pieces in a wholly unique second artwork, created by a collage artist on the other side of the world, a true international collab made possible only by the blockchain and NFTs.
The collage is a portrait of a man who comes from a world with no color. But, through the process of losing his family and all he holds dear, he awakens to the world of color; through his spiritual “death” as an individual personality he is reborn unto the world of universal color and must share that truth with the world.
