Our piece was inspired by the discontinued 100 Swiss Franc banknote.
On the original piece, there is L’Homme qui marche I (The Walking Man I or The Striding Man I, lit. The Man who Walks I) created by Swiss sculptor Alberto Giacometti in 1961.
The piece is described as "both a humble image of an ordinary man, and a potent symbol of humanity".Giacometti is said to have viewed "the natural equilibrium of the stride" as a symbol of "man's own life force".
In our artwork, we reimagined the bronze sculptures and characterized them with state of feeling. More specifically, the blue man represents depression, red is anxiety, yellow was made to embody toxic positivity and gluttony, and the white evokes a sense of pondering or wonderment. Also, we tried to recreate background with buzz of modern day humanity.
