Before the sun rises over the horizon, the sky is full of blood. Was a pretty awesome sunrise the other day, watching it down from Milford overlooking Rangitoto Island, a dormant Volcano just out from Auckland City on the Hauraki Gulf. This is a very young Volcano, born just 600 years ago.
I used to watch this island out my window when I was young, expecting her to awake in a rumble of fire. Fortunately that hasn't happened, but who knows when it will happen.
