Through my painting, Sins of Heaven, I want the viewer to create a metaphor for the protection of living life and nature, as well as lives that have been damaged by forms of belief, wars, and other forms of violence that have been forcefully removed from this world. I used the tremulous, curvy and linear movement of energy between two poles, its invisible but actually colored path, as a form in my abstract nature paintings.
The colorful and divided cypress trees that I use occasionally in my paintings are a part of our culture from past to present and an indicator of a monumental bond between life and death. Throughout the Seljuk and Ottoman periods and today, cypress trees were always valued as monumental, and it was intended to be valued by planting in front of cemeteries and important structures as if to reach God.
