I still remember the day I created this photo of Martin's Beach, Half Moon Bay. Weather looked promising and I was eager to create. When I arrived, there was a group of photographers with their gear set up, I was struggling to find a good composition that wasn't already taken. I walked around for an hour scouting for something interesting to add in my frame, setting up my gear in different places trying to find a good angle, but nothing was working. At some point, I came across a log shaped as a letter "Y" it quickly caught my attention and I grabbed it, it was pretty heavy and I was far from the main subject I wanted to capture. The other photographers stared while I carried a log across the beach, they probably thought I was crazy. I moved it around a few times until I lined it up perfectly with the rock and the sun in the back creating a unique composition.
