This photograph is very special to me and hereĀ“s why. This memorial, called āLothardenkmalā, was created by my father, a sculptor and artist, in order to commemorate one of the most destructive storms in european history āLotharā and its affected people. I feel like I am reframing and developing the important and extraordinary analog work of my father into my digital world. It is like an allegory, we both are represented perfectly by those two very different, yet so similar, pieces of art. Each work itself symbolizes in some way what we stand for and combined together, they create something new. Something special. Something, that honours both of our works and therefore eternises them. And that is something that makes me feel not only proud but grateful.
