Adam and Eve were expelled from heaven after committing the original sin. They separated when they landed, and each settled in a different land. Finally, after a hundred years of distance and quandary, they found each other again. This is how it happened that the white veil of Eve was pulled aside by Adam, so a light of beauty and value shone on Adam's face.
