Infinite games outplay finite players. Far along as one may be on the horizontal axes X and Z- each representing the circumstances of one’s birth, that does not translate towards progression or regression along the vertical or Y axis. Such ascension or descension comes about through other means.
Per time and chance, that which players were born with- family and socioeconomic status, individual traits and personalities, strengths and weaknesses, such are immutable but often indeterministic. Neither wealth nor sagacity, status nor piety guarantees wisdom or legacy, nor wealth or comfort. Every man is the culmination of their choices willed within, and their circumstances imposed without. Infinite players play with continuity in mind, adapting to make the most out of conditions; finite players become a brief spark in a perpetuity of pyrotechnics. Y represents the results of players’ choices and their willingness to choose- diabolically or irreproachably, how they face their X and Z.
