This is Gifu Castle and the full moon.
Gifu Castle is located on the top of a 329-meter mountain, and since there is nothing to block your view, you can take pictures with a telephoto lens from as far as 7 kilometers away from the castle.
So Gifu Castle is the best place in Japan to see the moon, and it has become famous in the past few years.
The weather was cloudy that day, and as I set up my camera, I predicted that I would not be able to shoot that day.
But the moon, climbing from behind the mountain, appeared only for a minute or two when it coincided with the castle, and then disappeared again into the clouds.
It was a dramatic few minutes and an unforgettable moment in my life.
I took this photo of such a scene with a composition like the Japanese flag.
I think this is a perfect example of an original Japanese landscape.
