By middle age, Abrihm was well known in his country. He had created an exhaustive anthology of literary works and this had brought him a great deal of wealth. He used much of his fortune to fund the creation of a vast library, where books and scrolls were brought from around the world. He read as many as possible as they were given and sold to him. Then one, in particular, changed the course of his life. By all measures there was nothing strange about the scroll, except Abrihm recognized it as a palimpsest, where the original writings had been destroyed to make room for something new. Fascinated, Abrihm decided to restore the original writing, though the ink had been scraped away, there would still be a slight impression where the original text had been.
