Negentropy had become demanding, expecting the praise that seemed to follow her. The locals would shower her with what little they could spare, and she would snap at them, demanding more. She began to believe she was entitled to the good fortune she created around her. One day traveling through the city a local vendor was given a generous amount of money for one of her wares. She saw Negentropy and ran to her, excitedly showing her what she had earned and thanking her. Negentropy swiftly snatched the payment from her giving back a single coin. “We’re even.” she winked.
