I took a walk that evening in the harbor after observing comet Neowise from my front lawn with binoculars. It was a warm summer evening with just a hint of haze rolling in from the West to our Eastern shore of Lake Ontario. The Comet and some other stars shown brightly through the thin haze and the calm waters of Henderson Harbor shimmered with deep blues, purple, silver, and the hint of the light from the stars and the visiting comet. I observed this scene and painted it later on from memory.
