A precocious child, Maagair was driven out of her town in the Northlands many years ago. A drunkard attacked her for unspeakable reasons one fateful night and her powers manifested, killing him in self-defense. The easily spooked villagers cast Maagair out despite her pleas, and her parents were the first to call for banishment. Now known as "The Sylvan Witch", she attuned her magic to the forest that became her home, commanding earth and root as easily as others wield sword and shield. But Maagair deeply distrusts other humans and tries to avoid them as much as possible. That betrayal from years past still scars her.
