This is an abstract composition using wrecked textures and sorting. The red circle is a reference to Barbelith, the living satellite Grant Morrison wrote into The Invisibles. Morrison was also, rumor has it, kind of losing his marbles while he wrote The Invisibles, and Barbelith is the mystical consummation of a creative spiritual force that wrapped up all the alternative culture of the 90's and UFO culture into one sphere of creative energy. I have thought about Barbelith often, and I wanted to make an art piece that referenced a fictional hymn to that force, the agent intellect of the 90's counter-culture.
