**"aaa"** is a generative art system inspired by abstract artists such as *Jackson Pollock*, *Brice Marden*, and *Kazimir Malevich*. Abstract art appeals to me over other forms because it compels the viewer to use their imagination. You could argue that this art form is like a mirror, a pieces perception being reflective of itβs observer. Similar to how red can symbolize anger, love, and danger. An abstract piece can evoke a multitude of feelings. I believe this to be a unique value of abstract art.
While a human can choose a colour to communicate a feeling, a machine lacks the cognitive ability to do so. Therefore, the program uses randomized probabilities in an attempt to create a wide array of styles. I have taken reference from the drawing styles of *K Malevich*, *Piet Mondrian*, *Brice Marden*, and *Joan Mitchell*. The styles demonstrated by these artists range from symmetric to loose and erratic, combined with 32 colour palettes compiled through experimentation and inspiration.
