This was taken from the Roppongi part of Tokyo. Tokyo us so big that there are about 10 mini-cities inside of it, and Roppongi is one of the bigger, more commercial and tourist areas. It's a bit like New York with Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, etc, but Tokyo is even bigger. Also, as opposed to New York, everywhere is perfectly safe to walk around and clean as a whistle.
I've always thought that red tower looks a lot like the Eiffel Tower. It's not quite as big, but it does make for a stunning anomaly on the skyline.
