A reflection on how in the thickest of fogs, even the smallest light we have can guide us through it.
This artwork stems from a past version of myself as well, one that was facing the fog of reality descending on him through living in his native country that was going through a full-on crisis and collapse, leading me to feel lost and helpless, yet I went back to the things I love like my art, family, and friends, that led me out of this dark period of my life.
This sentiment is represented by our character sitting on the grass unconcerned with the fog surrounding him while staring at the fireflies above him that symbolize self-illumination, positivity and appreciation for the small things in life, with their yellow light contrasting against the blue fog and breaking it down into a beautiful composition that captures the essence of my experience.
This artwork is drawn frame by frame, and each movement is hand drawn on paper, and colored as well as finalized on photoshop and after Effects.
