For this piece, my intention was not only to make something that simulates the traditional medium that I enjoy so much, but lately I am looking to generate something that is within the parameters or possibilities of the digital. So my triggering THOUGHT was how to make a piece that contains characteristic attributes of both media without appearing solely traditional or totally digital?
The final FORM of this THOUGHT was a bright colored composition that blends the look of physical painting and digital design, mixing expressive brushstrokes that are characterized by a variety of rough organic textures from different brushes, in contrast to glitchy stains with flat pixel areas and cleaner, straighter edges.
A sense of spontaneity, immediacy and chaos in search of a sense of order and slowness.
