I am personally fascinated by the ideas around duality within science, philosophy, religion and within ourselves as complex and conflicted humans. 'Particles and Waves’ is an abstract, minimalist piece that brings together the artist and the thinker within me. This artwork is specifically Inspired by the wave-particle duality principle in quantum physics. At the quantum level, It is understood that light and matter exhibit the behaviours of both waves and particles, depending on the circumstances of a given experiment. More interestingly, depending on the presence of an “observer". Taken further, the concept that consciousness could possibly play a role in the collapse of the wave function (from a wave to a particle) opens up so many fascinating philosophical questions about the very nature of reality and existence.
