Since ancient times till nowadays people, who more or less know about digital culture, associate the word “square” with the figure of Kazimir Malevich and his art movement suprematism as well as with the plane figure.
Back in his time the artist tried to break through the established art standards and create something new. He wanted to make a form without shape and colour without paint.
However, today in the world of rapid exchange of information, machines that make endless reproductions, processing and reuse of the content, Kazimir Malevich does not anymore play a role of the mirror that reflects out time. That is why I have decided to develop a new image of the square that can be seen as a new symbol of our generation.
The infinite square is consisted of endless copies of itself. At the end of the mirrored corridor that is full of reflections there can be found one more mirror that multiplies this endlessness by two.
However, there is a human being at the center of the infinite symmetry of the identical walls. The core of every art regardless of its genre and timeline must be a person, their feelings, their story, and their present. Only in that case even the reproduction that is only just another copy can be exceptional.
Digital art has always been way different from the classical art as this artistic practice is in the world of virtual reality and has an endless number of various copies. That is why there is no original work and it simply cannot be. Nevertheless, a blockchain and NFT have completely changed this axiom. Thanks to that, a piece of art which exists in the world of infinity duplicates can be unique and singular. Furthermore, it can possess merits that seemed to be a dream. That is the cause of mutual compatibility of the crypto art’s philosophy and the infinity square.
In the center of my painting is Eva of a new generation. There is a new meaning, new contest, new life, new sincerity and new values.
Thus, the infinity square is the revised reproduction of the Malevich’s square. It does not matter what shape will it take or whether it will be copied, remade, teared into pieces or destroyed. The square will keep its primeval essence if there is a human in the center of it.
