René Magritte's "Time Transfixed" (re)imagined.
The original French, La durée poignardé, literally means “ongoing time stabbed by a dagger.” Not only does the train in the fireplace pierce the viewer, but now the eternally-turning large hand of the clock traps us in a moment of both still and ongoing time. The train is always leaving, but will never leave. Time is always turning, but we're forever trapped in the current moment. The dagger now twists as well.
The scene is completely reverse engineered and built in 3D from the point of the viewer.
