This series of paintings titled "The Course of Capitalism" shows capitalism through five different phases: 1. Origin 2. Industrialization 3. Consummation 4. Destruction 5. Desolation Inspired by Thomas Cole's "The Course of Empire" this concept on capitalism highlights colinization, imperialism, industrialization, globalization, critique, war, mass consumption, depleting resources, global warming, flooding, and human extinction. "Desolation" is the last painting in this series, and shows the final warning sign of the potential course capitalism could take if unchecked. Humans and their civilization are extinct and buried deep under water and bringing it back around to the origin painting with the nod to the Roman Empire. This time, a soup can is added as a final symbol of consumption. Above the water, nature begins to thrive again. The physical versions of these paintings have since been painted over, so these are the only remaining versions of them. There will be a total of 5 NFT's created, 1/1 for each phase of the concept.
