Frank Bauman
Photojournalist Frank Bauman was the staff photographer for Look Magazine. He began his career at Look Magazine following his time as war correspondent during World War II. He continued his work with Look until the 1960s, working alongside James Karales, Harold Edgerton, and Stanley Kubrick. His most notable work being his collaboration with Harold Edgerton in developing the stroboscopic form of photography. This method was famously used to prove that the curve ball does, in fact curve. Bauman was known for photographing infamous sports images, including early images of Jackie Robinson, Joe Louis, and Babe Ruth. He was also known for his work documenting the Cold War, film, pop culture, political unrest, and the human condition. Visit FrankBauman.com and @baumancollection for more information.
