Rasaka does not remember much before Piyu...
Life on the road. The caravan. Smiling faces and hard work. These memories shift painfully, into a blood red night full of horror. The fetid smell of death and an unearthly glow.
An escape to the forest followed by years of toil, reduced to base instinct.
One day a wanderer stepped through to our world. Such Light she brought with her. The forest itself seemed to bloom in Piyu's presence. Rasaka was the first to bathe in her light, drawn by the same simple desire that brings a moth to flame. Rasaka's mind unfurled into a new kind of awareness, becoming something far from human. In thanks, Rasaka shared with Piyu what knowledge they could of this world as she came to power.
It was Rasaka's honor to watch the forest and its creatures grow into something strange and beautiful.
Since her Sacrifice, Rasaka tends to the forest. Piyu's power is not gone, but shared through all living things within her domain. The jumbled paths are her blood vessels, the leaves her lungs.
Piyu became the garden, and they became her.
