None are sure if Pilosus Telum is a man or a machine. He joined The Strivers in the age of Luta, but did not pursue knowledge as his cohorts did. Instead, Pilosus trained with his sword and studied the limits of his own strength. He devised new methods of growing physical power and over the many cycles he has survived, grew to become fiercely intelligent in all matters related to his own body and its deadly applications.
He has a friendly relationship with another defender, Defensor Scientiae.
After the discoveries within The Second Expedition to The Void, he has become increasingly obsessed with the strength presented by The Nameless Serpent and idolizes those who fought in the Band of the Bulwark during the Battle of the Burning Church.
