Ethereals exist as an extensions of one's spirit. By undergoing a process called Quintessence in this cave, Citizens can commune with Celeste, forming their soulmate. Ethereals often take the form of mystical familiarities like floating mushrooms, flying foxes, rabbit-bears, and more, but usually stay close to their host. Traveling away causes Ethereals to grow tired, depressed, and lose their spiritual abilities. So, before undergoing your own Quintessence ritual, make sure you’re prepared for the commitment.
